On March 28, 2024, the "Zhongguancun Science City Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Innovation Release Conference" was grandly opened at the main venue of the permanent site of the Zhongguancun Forum. The event was hosted by the Haidian District Government and co-organized by the Zhongguancun Science City Management Committee, the District Health Commission, the District Medical Insurance Bureau, the District Market Supervision Administration, and the Zhongguancun Science City Company. At the conference, participating leaders and guests witnessed the release of innovative policies and achievements in the pharmaceutical and health industry of Zhongguancun Science City. Together, they discussed the future development prospects of the pharmaceutical and health industry, seizing opportunities to accelerate the deep integration of education, science, and talent, and continuously promote innovation in Zhongguancun Science City's pharmaceutical and health industry.

The conference gathered representatives from relevant Beijing municipal commissions and offices, universities and research institutes, medical institutions, leading industry enterprises, innovative companies, new R&D institutions, alliances and associations, and investment institutions. They jointly witnessed several innovative initiatives released by the Haidian District Government in the field of pharmaceutical and health industries. The discussions focused on how innovation can drive the advancement of the pharmaceutical and health industry. VJTBio, as the only veterinary drug innovation and animal protection enterprise invited, officially launched its advanced animal innovation drug technology platform at the conference, playing a crucial role in promoting pharmaceutical technology innovation and ensuring green, healthy, and safe national food security.

The conference was hosted by Yang Renquan, Deputy Secretary of the Haidian District Committee. Xu Xinchao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Beijing Municipal Government, delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that Beijing attaches great importance to the innovative development of the pharmaceutical and health industry, strongly supports enterprise research and technological innovation, and has established multiple national and municipal innovation platforms and R&D centers. He also highlighted efforts to enhance space assurance and regulatory services, collaboratively building a "three-medical linkage" system to significantly improve the level of innovation in China's pharmaceutical and health industry.

District Chief Li Junjie of Haidian District addressed the conference, emphasizing that the pharmaceutical and health industry is a key focus area for the development of strategic emerging industries in China. Over the years, Haidian has established a robust talent pipeline, comprehensive basic disciplines, active medical-engineering intersections, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies in the pharmaceutical and health industry, playing a pivotal role in Beijing's innovative development in this sector. Moving forward, Haidian District will focus on its roles as a "Pilot Zone for AI-Enabled Pharmaceutical and Health Industry" and an "Innovation Demonstration Zone for Medical-Engineering Cross-Industry," coordinating efforts across government, industry, academia, research, and medical sectors to accelerate development in emerging fields such as synthetic biology, brain-computer interfaces, and digital healthcare.

Deputy District Chief Lin Hang released the "Haidian District Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Three-Year Action Plan" and the "Haidian District Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Development Implementation Plan," outlining the future development and innovation in AI-enabled pharmaceutical and health industries and the integration of the traditional Chinese medicine industry into Haidian's high-quality development framework for the pharmaceutical and health sector.

The Zhongguancun Science City Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Innovation Release Conference, themed "Dynamic DNA, Transformative Power," featured various project signings and the announcement of favorable policies. VJTBio, the only veterinary drug enterprise in the Zhongguancun Science City Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Park project, signed an agreement with the newly launched industrial space—Zhongguancun Science City International Medical Valley. This signing reflects Haidian District's high recognition of VJTBio's research direction and industry path in veterinary medicine, as well as high expectations for future market expansion.

To promote the continuous progress of the pharmaceutical and health industry, the conference introduced a series of industrial service platforms, including several important "public service platforms" and "generic technology platforms." Within the Zhongguancun Science City Pharmaceutical and Health Industry Generic Technology Platform, VJTBio's advanced animal innovation drug technology platform supports startups and veterinary drug research innovations through its innovative platforms for animal recombinant protein antibodies and mRNA vaccines. This initiative aims to better address significant challenges related to major animal diseases and zoonoses, continually providing critical support for the high-quality development of China's high-tech modern agriculture.
