From August 25 to August 27, the HICOOL 2023 Global Entrepreneurs Summit concluded at the China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Hall). This year's summit, themed "Gathering Momentum for Innovation, Moving Towards the Light," focused on the concept of "Fully Supporting Entrepreneurs." The event continued to elevate its high-quality "Global Entrepreneur Carnival" experience. The summit featured a variety of exciting forums, diverse exhibition zones showcasing cutting-edge technology, insightful keynote speeches, and close-knit venture capital matchmaking activities. Entrepreneurs, scientists, business leaders, government officials, and international organization heads from around the world gathered to exchange ideas, experience the pulse of technological advancements, and explore new opportunities for future development.

This year marks the fourth edition of the HICOOL Global Entrepreneurs Summit. Since its inception, HICOOL has been dedicated to creating a high-profile, high-quality, and high-standard international entrepreneurship event. It has attracted 22,000 entrepreneurial talents and 16,000 startup projects from 133 countries and regions, resulting in 11 unicorn companies and 73 specialized and innovative enterprises. Post-competition, winning projects have secured nearly 30 billion yuan in new financing, with over 970 projects receiving funding, and 130 projects securing financing exceeding 100 million yuan each.

During the HICOOL 2023 Global Entrepreneurship Competition recruitment period, a series of international activities took place starting early this year. Project recruitment included 74 online and offline roadshows worldwide, including 27 international presentations. A total of 5,705 projects were submitted from countries and regions such as Ireland, Brazil, Germany, Malaysia, the United States, Peru, Thailand, Singapore, Iran, Italy, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, Vietnam, and Hong Kong, China. Among them, 3,628 overseas projects were submitted, accounting for approximately 64% of the total, with nearly 2,000 foreign participants making up about 27% of the total contestants.

The HICOOL 2023 Global Entrepreneurship Competition featured seven major tracks including Next-Generation Information Technology, High-End Equipment, Pharmaceutical and Health, Agricultural Technology, and more. The competition awarded first, second, and third prizes, along with Excellence Awards and Talent Scout Awards. After more than 200 days of intense competition, VJTBio's innovative project, "Developing High-End Animal Protein Drugs Using the CHO Mammalian Cell Expression System," stood out from 5,705 entrepreneurial projects by 114 countries and regions. The project won first place in the Growth Group for Agricultural Technology and ultimately secured the Excellence Award. This recognition placed VJTBio among the ranks of distinguished innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world.
