To fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the 2023 World Agriculture Technology Innovation Conference was held from November 2 to 4 at the Jinhai Lake International Convention Center in Pinggu District, Beijing. Hosted by the Beijing Municipal Government and co-organized by China Agricultural University, the Pinggu District Government, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and the International Agricultural Research Consultative Group (CGIAR), the conference attracted 800 representatives from 61 countries and regions. Participants included scientists, educators, entrepreneurs, government officials, and outstanding young professionals.

The event featured four specialized forums: the World Agricultural University Presidents Forum, the World Agricultural Entrepreneurs Forum, the World Agricultural Innovation and Investment Forum, and the International Agricultural Exchange and Cooperation Forum. Concurrently, the World Agricultural Technology Expo and several parallel forums were held. Attendees engaged in extensive discussions and exchanges under the theme "Innovative Agriculture, Shared Future," focusing on "Food Security and Future Agriculture." The conference yielded significant results, fostering global agricultural and economic development and contributing to the construction of a shared future for humanity.

Currently, 40% of the Earth's land is degraded, and 780 million people face hunger. Global food and nutrition security is the foundation for human survival and development. By 2050, the global population is expected to reach 10 billion, making the provision of nutritious and sustainable food a top priority. As a populous and agricultural powerhouse, China supports nearly one-fifth of the world's population with less than 9% of the world's arable land, contributing significantly to global food security. However, the global agricultural food system faces multiple challenges, including hunger, malnutrition, climate change, resource degradation, geopolitical conflicts, and instability. Transforming the agricultural food system is essential for achieving global sustainable development goals.

The conference featured a wide range of activities and forums with extensive impact. Dr. Luo Haoshu, Founder and Chairman of VJTBio, was invited to participate in several specialized sessions as a young scientist and leader of an innovative veterinary pharmaceutical company. During the Innovation Enterprises Forum, Dr. Luo's presentation on "Developing Animal Protein Antibody Drugs Using Biopharmaceutical Technology" stood out, earning VJTBio the prestigious Golden Horse Award. This achievement reflects the collective effort and dedication of the entire VJTBio team and the unwavering support from experts, leaders, and investment partners. Looking ahead, VJTBio eagerly anticipates deepening collaborations with more research institutions and venture capital funds.

In the subsequent "Technological Innovation Empowering the Future of Animal Husbandry" sub-forum, Dr. Luo Haoshu Chairman of VJTBio, joined distinguished young professionals in a vibrant exchange of ideas. This forum was co-hosted by the China Agricultural University's Global Food Economy and Policy Research Institute (AGFEP), the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), the International Forum on Low Carbon Agricultural Food Systems (IFLEAS), and Alltech (China). It brought together scientists and entrepreneurs from the livestock and aquaculture sectors to discuss how technological innovation can address the challenges facing the development of animal husbandry globally and regionally. Topics included improving conversion rates, disease detection and prevention in livestock, and enhancing industry resilience. As an innovative veterinary biopharmaceutical company, VJTBio is committed to collaborating with others to tackle the challenges of livestock development and food safety, promoting technological innovation to ensure the security of agricultural and food systems for humanity.

Over the three-day event, participants gained valuable insights. Domestic and international guests discussed agricultural technology innovations, shared the latest technological achievements, promoted agricultural exchanges and cooperation, and envisioned the future development of agriculture. The conference concluded successfully in Pinggu, Beijing. At the closing ceremony, Dr. Luo, as a representative of the award-winning guests, shared VJTBio's research philosophy and scientific investments with the attendees. He emphasized the company's dedication to using the latest biotechnologies to develop high-quality, low-cost, and safe green animal protein drugs. These efforts aim to support global agricultural development, food health, and sustainable farming practices, showcasing China's contributions to the world. This marks a significant first step for VJTBio as a Chinese company on the path to globalization.

The world is currently facing various challenges, including geopolitical risks, energy crises, and economic downturns. These unprecedented changes are unfolding rapidly, but despite the turbulent times, agriculture remains a crucial link in the shared destiny of humanity. Innovation, both in research and practice, continues to be the driving force. This conference highlighted the rapid development of Chinese agriculture to the world. VJTBio, as a pioneering force, will stay rooted in China while maintaining an international perspective. We are committed to providing innovative technologies and solutions to drive the transformation of agricultural and food systems in China and globally.
