The "Large- cale Pig Enterprises-Sow Reproduction and Health Management Seminar", co-organized by VJTBio and held from April 16 to 17, 2024, in Panyu, Guangzhou, was a great success. The seminar was jointly organized by Xin Zhu Pai and Challenge Animal Health, with the Rural Revitalization Industry Research Center of South China Agricultural University as the undertaking unit, and the Rural Revitalization Research Institute of South China Agricultural University as the guiding unit. More than 70 authoritative experts, industry-leading enterprise guests, and representatives of large-scale pig farming enterprises and upstream and downstream enterprises were invited to participate in the conference. The seminar aimed to explore how to improve pig production efficiency and promote industrial innovation and development under the new development pattern, so as to promote the sustainable development of the sow reproduction and health management industry. As an important organizer and guest of the seminar, VJTBio shared solutions about new technologies and product directions in the field of sow batch production, contributing to the sustainable and innovative development of the industry.
The guests attending the seminar included the managers and production heads of group pig farms in Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian and other places, as well as professors and experts from scientific research institutions. At the meeting, the guests offered suggestions and strategies on the current pain points of sow reproduction and other industry developments, and made an in-depth and precise analysis of industry issues. Dr. Luo Haoshu, Chairman of VJTBio, introduced the company's innovative platform for developing high-end animal protein drugs based on cell gene engineering technology to research and develop advanced veterinary drugs in response to the new market demand. The company has undertaken several national "14th Five-Year" key research and development projects, including the upgrading of precise regulation technology for pig batch production and the research and development of new products, and has developed recombinant porcine follicle-stimulating hormone for batch reproduction of pigs to improve reproductive efficiency.
Cheng Shiwen, Technical Director of VJTBio, said at the seminar that sow reproduction, as the core link of the pig farming industry, is of great significance to improving the production efficiency and economic benefits of the entire industry. He focused on sharing the challenges faced in the current field of sow reproduction, the current situation of batch production, and the technology and advanced products of VJTBio.
In recent years, affected by African swine fever and other epidemics, China's pig farming industry is facing a major upgrade and change. How to cultivate excellent Reserve Sow (“Reserve sow” refers to young female pigs that are selected and raised for future breeding purposes. They are an important part of the pig farming industry, as they can help to improve the genetic quality and productivity of the pig herd. The cultivation of high-quality Reserve Sow involves selecting healthy and vigorous piglets, providing them with good nutrition and living conditions, and conducting scientific management to ensure their normal growth and development. Reserve Sows are usually raised in specialized breeding farms or pig farms with good breeding conditions and management levels. They are an important guarantee for the sustainable development of the pig farming industry.) and improve the growth and reproduction performance of the sow herd has become particularly important. Among them, the batch production of sows, with the advantages of ensuring biosecurity through the all-in-all-out production model, effectively preventing and controlling diseases, saving labor costs through synchronized management of the same batch, and achieving disease purification in pig farms, is increasingly recognized and favored by pig farms.
However, there are still many problems and difficulties in the current batch production of pig farms: low utilization rate of pig herds, no obvious improvement in reproductive performance, limitations of related products, unreasonable batch production models, and lack of professional batch production technical personnel. VJTBio starts from innovative advanced products and complete technical service processes, uses recombinant protein hormones to solve the defects of traditional hormones such as easy antibody production and long half-life, and formulates reasonable batch production plans according to the actual production needs such as pig farm scale and pen structure, so as to solve the difficulties in batch production and maximize the advantages of batch production. The insights and solutions proposed by VJTBio have important reference value and market cooperation potential for improving sow reproduction efficiency and sustainable health management, which has caused strong resonance and widespread attention among the participants.
In the future, VJTBio will firmly adhere to the concept of innovation-driven development, steadily increase R & D investment, promote the comprehensive implementation of technical services, and contribute more to the continuous and healthy development of the industry. At the same time, VJTBio also looks forward to joining hands with more partners to become a new force in the field of sow reproduction and health management.
